The concept behind Good Beginnings’ programs are simple and powerful: any family with a new baby in the Upper Valley of both NH and VT can use a helping hand.
Good Beginnings has three main programs:
Our In-Home Volunteer Visitor Program, which provides weekly home visits for three consecutive months during the baby’s first six months, in order to
lend a helping hand
reduce isolation
offer respite
encourage and answer questions
provide health and safety information
read to babies and older children
support pregnant women on bed rest
Our Education and Support Program, which provides in-office consultation and over the phone support for families with young children, in order to
connect with community services
offer emergency resources
present educational information through guest speakers at the annual Dorothy Campion-Corcoran Lecture, held in-person or virtually as a webinar
Our MOM, mentors of moms, Program which provides virtual support to any family with a newborn in the greater Upper Valley area, in order to:
offer a consistent relationship
support new parents
give encouragement and answer questions
reduce isolation
connect with community
